What: Summer Outing at Cunsey Mill Site
When: 28th June 3pm
Who: Members, families and friends
Details: Please bring some rowing gear, your own sculling boat(s), some tools and varnishing skills, food for an evening buffet picnic and all your rowing friends. Options for an additional outing on Sunday 29th June from 3pm will be decided on Saturday 28th.
Please indicate to Roger or Sue Heise if you can come (and with how many friends and family).
What: C2C cycle ride in aid of The Cystic Fybrosis Trust
When: 11th to 13th July 2008
Who: Anyone interested - should be within scope of most people even “geriatrics”
Details: John Knox is organising a C2C long distance bike ride from Whitehaven to Sunderland. The route is 140 miles over varied terrain on cycle paths and minor roads. Accommodation is booked for Penrith and Allenheads and the group will take 3 days to complete their journey, making it within in capabilities of most people. Anyone interested is welcome to join in.
